The Downtown Poteau Historic Walking Tour was created in order to showcase some of Poteau's unique history.  In this tour, you'll find stories ranging from the Bonnie and Clyde bank robbery in Poteau to unique and fascinating architecture.

The Walking Tour was originally created by the Poteau Chamber of Commerce.  After completing The Birth of Poteau, Eric Standridge rewrote much of the walking tour to add more facts and information.

This was republished in 2012 by the Poteau Chamber of Commerce, along with Eric Standridge, with assistance from The LeFlore County Museum and Poteau Main Street Matters.
